Who is the person Silke Eggert?

In my over 30-year long professional career in international technology and telecommunication companies, I often found myself to be the only woman in a room at leadership level amongst men. Even though I have experienced over these years that diversity has started to play an increasing role and that more female leaders were actively promoted and recruited, the geo-political environment has led to a backlash in many companies and the percentage of women in leadership positions in Germany has stayed stable over the last years.

One challenge throughout my career was to stay true to myself and to not lose my female traits in order to be successful. I have always enjoyed to work with women and young talent, to mentor and coach them and to see them grow. My purpose was to bring humanity, love and care to an environment which was focused on the achievement of targets, growth and numbers. In hindsight, the people I had the honour to work with, to lead and to support are what matters most to me.
